Why customers maybe quietly boycotting your brand

Even though I had shopped at my favourite clothing store for over 20 years, I could not bring myself to shop there when they received a low rating in the Ethical Fashion Guide. And they didn't know a thing about it. I just disappeared.

I started shopping at places with higher ratings.  

I went without clothes I coveted and service I was accustomed to for 12-months.

Thankfully, their standards improved considerably! (I sort of knew/hoped they would, they're my favourite store after all).

This ideological driven consumer behaviour is fast becoming the new normal.

Consumers who were once loyal, will now switch based on a brands ideology.

These consumers are mostly young and have money to spend.

Ignore them at your peril. You'll be stuck in no-brand-land.
